Replace unreliable hardware:  If you’ve currently got a VPN solution that isn’t as reliable as you’d like it to be, you may have been tempted by the idea of buying an expensive private network from the likes of BT in order to increase speed and reliability.  Your current VPN maintainer may be trying to fob you off by blaming your broadband provider, or telling you the problem will be fixed in the next version of the firmware.

Time after time here at OpenIP we’ve seen badly implemented VPNs that are easily fixed by replacing the router and firewall with a Cisco Integrated Services Router.  Before you rip out your VPN and replace it with expensive leased lines, give us a call and see what we can do for you.

Proven, long lasting solutions:  When you invest in a VPN solution from OpenIP, you know you’re going to be getting a reliable network, and here’s why: we only supply proven VPN solutions built from components known to work well together.  At OpenIP we recommend Cisco’s Integrated Service Routers.  One of the key benefits over other VPN solutions is that you’ve got one box with your router and your firewall in, but they’re also modular, allowing you to replace individual components so that your router can grow with your network.  This protects your investment and prolongs the working life of your network.

We want to end false economies:  You can buy a VPN router from the inferior manufacturers for under £100, but you’ll pay for it again several times over due to lost productivity, poor network performance, choppy VoIP calls and waiting for files to transfer, amongst other things.  The amount of time you’ll spend rebooting it because it’s locked up again almost doesn’t bear thinking about. One thing for certain is that it will be the bottleneck on your network connection; broadband speeds are getting faster and faster, and there’s no point paying for 8Mb broadband if you’re going to choke it off with a poor quality router.
